Size of the SMS
Short text messages service, SMS, offers subscribers an opportunity to send and receive text messages limited to 160 characters and/or symbols in Latin alphabet. In the event that your SMS is longer than the standard SMS it will be divided into several short messages and sent to the addressee. Then, depending on the model of the mobile phone, the message can be merged into one short message or saved as several text messages in the memory of your mobile phone.
Your SMS message shall reach the addressee no matter which GSM number he or she uses. Even if addressee is temporarily out of reach, the message shall be delivered as soon as the connection is restored. An SMS pending delivery is stored a maximum 5 days from the date of sending unless delivered*.The message shall be delivered to a mobile phone regardless of a phone being busy or on standby mode.
SMS Center
The number of the SMS center is set automatically to your mobile phone when you insert your Nar Mobile SIM card.
However, you can manually enter SMS center number if the number was accidentally deleted. To do this, just go to SMS Settings menu of your mobile phone and find the SMS center number and change it to +
.
To ensure your short message reached your addressee, you can activate receipt on SMS delivery to addressees. This can be done in the SMS Settings menu of your phone, however, appearance of SMS Settings menu may vary depending on model of mobile phone. For further information please look at your mobile phone's manual. It's free to receive SMS - even when you're abroad.
