AZERFON LLC launched its commercial activities in 21st of March, 2007 under brand name Nar Mobile. The trademark Nar was created as a symbol of the relationship between Azerbaijan’s rich cultural heritage and modern life.
Today the network coverage of Azerfon reaches 80% of territory of Azerbaijan Republic. Currently, over 1.600 000 of subscribers use the network of Azerfon. In 2009 an agreement on non-equity partnership was signed between AZERFON LLC and Vodafone Company.
On 02.12.2009 AZERFON LLC obtained the license for rendering 3G technologies in the country.
